Kathryn Imperial

Kathryn Imperial is a Board-Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over seven years of experience in mental health care. Born in Georgia and having lived in North Carolina and Kentucky, she graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and earned her accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Bellarmine University.

Kathryn began her nursing career at Duke University Hospital, specializing in neurology and neurosurgery. Discovering her passion for psychiatry, she moved to Nashville to work at Vanderbilt Psychiatric Hospital, where she spent five years focusing on child and adolescent mental health. She then completed her Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in psychiatry across the lifespan at Union University.

Committed to compassionate, patient-centered care, Kathryn integrates medication management with lifestyle modifications. She prioritizes patient education, ensuring her patients are well-informed and active participants in their treatment plans. Kathryn is also dedicated to reducing the stigma around mental health and stays current on advancements in psychiatry through continuous education and professional conferences.

Outside of her professional life, Kathryn enjoys staying active, cooking, and spending time with family, friends, and her miniature Bernedoodle, Franklin.
